Piedmont - the ‘land at the foot of the mountain’ - is one of Italy’s best-kept secrets, stretching from the Alps almost down to the Mediterranean. Tourists tend to bypass it for other parts of Italy, but the fantastic art, history and cuisine of this region deserve a much wider audience. Step outside the cities, and you find yourself in a land of Medieval hilltop towns, castles and abbeys that contains a wealth of art, and the Gothic frescoes of Piedmont are simply breathtaking. Piedmont is the birthplace of the Slow Food movement: some of the finest wines of Italy are produced in the rolling hills of the Langhe, and the cuisine of the region is rich with earthy flavours. And then there’s the chocolate truffles...

I am an enthusiastic champion of this beautiful region, and I weave together different aspects of Piedmont to create my cultural tours here: a rich mixture of art, history and gastronomy. This is true sustainable tourism, far from the crowds, where you will be amongst local Piemontesi who will be delighted to welcome you, and to introduce you to the unique culture of their region. You can either join one of our scheduled tours, or we can design a custom tour just for you, including private, chauffeur-driven transport. If necessary, we can provide transfers from Turin Airport, Milan Malpensa Airport or Genoa Airport to the small town of Sant’Albano Stura, which we use as a base for visits to wonderful locations across rural Piedmont: places otherwise difficult to reach, and presented to you with a real passion for the culture of this corner of Italy.
